There is approximately 2,500 words and phrases in the translation database. The languages are generally called Elvish or Elven but were originally known as Quenya, these are now split up into a number of different languages and dialects. Those are: Quenya, Sindarin and Silvan. This translator lists all the dialects translations where known, that is why some of the words will have multiple descriptions. To find the translation all you need to do is type in the English word or short phrase you want translated in the text box on the left, click the translate button, and the Elven translation will appear in the text box on the right.
If there is not a translation available, the box on the right will remain empty. To search for your next translation, click the reset button to clear the text boxes and enter another word or short phrase.
